Susan, a little more than 25 years ago, you gracefully floated into our circle of friends, and we haven't been the same since. And then you got some really shitty news and now I know we won't ever be the same. I was at a loss as to what I could do for you, but Joe and I have been discussing our upcoming anniversary, and we started talking about New Orleans, and that inevitably lead us to look at pictures. I came across this photo:
And I knew what to do.
I pulled out all of our old photo albums and now present to you...well, a bunch of drunks, as far as I can tell. But it looks like whenever we were with you, we were having a splendid time! I hope this brings a smile and some good memories. I know they did for me. You'll have to forgive the graininess - we only had Instamatics and Polaroids and not those fancy-ass camera phones we have now.
From before we met you (just for fun)
From Stations' Iowa trip
From a surprise birthday party for Tom & Russell. At Gene & Lily's. Circa 1988?
The 80s called, they want my hair back (and my Coors Light sweatshirt).
Two words: bush baby...and this time I'm not talking about Tom.
Also from the Iowa trip. Taken on someone's pontoon boat on the river.
Who wears short shorts? And tube socks?!
From our wedding...
Sometime prior to SHOT TIME!!!
Sometime after SHOT TIME!!!
Scrotum Boys
T-R-O-U-B-L-E
If I remember correctly, after this night, Michelle forbade Steve from ever drinking Crown Royal again.
Maybe that should have been a blanket order?
Pretty girls
Brett. That is all.
Absolutely frightening.
From your engagement party -
Nothing else to do with you, but I loved that dress.
There was a New Year's Eve party
King of bad Hawaiian shirts
Seriously, I can't take him anywhere
At Cozy's, New Year's Eve 1998
And Halloween
Weird for us to have a Halloween party. And I absolutely do not remember Wally being there.
And Halloween in New Orleans
There were Christmas dinners
I think you'd just sat on a Whoopee Cushion...thatnks, Phil!
There were a couple of Second Comings
Tom's birthday at Ozona, catching Beatlegrass
That random unseen hand
And a Brett/Lance/Phil Birthday party
And just because
Craft beer tasting
But apparantly just to drink and have a great time.
Joe and I were so sorry to hear your news; you are in our thoughts. Please know that we love you (and Tom) dearly - and let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do for you. I hope you know peace. Hug Tom. Be with your family. And remember some of the great times we had together...
Love, Tracy and Joe
